'Ever Oasis' Lives Up To All The Hype? Release Date Still Not Confirmed?

With a pedigree behind it, Grezzo's "Ever Oasis," directed by Koichi Ishii of "Final Fantasy" trilogy, hype naturally surrounded the new action RPG. For now, however, the release date on when it's coming to Nintendo 3DS is still unknown.

The trailer for "Ever Oasis," however, that was released during the recent E3 only served to whet the appetite of fans some more.

According to End Gadget, the game looks like a mix between "The Legend of Zelda," "Final Fantasy and "Animal Crossing" where players are asked to gather a team, explore maps, solve puzzles and build a town.

"Believe it or not, that odd combination of game elements actually makes sense: Grezzo, the studio behind Over Oasis, is also the company Nintendo used to port Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask to the 3DS," it said.

In the game, you can play Tethu who will cross a desert ruled by "Chaos." With the malevolent force, tame creatures have become wild, but you have to create an oasis, with the help of the Wanderders, to bring back life to the wasteland.

There should be plenty more details that will come out once the release date is announced.

According to Digital Trends, the checkpoints where the game can be saved are called "Bloom Booths," which can also be created by planting seeds that can be bought by water as a currency. But players could not purchase items in the store.

"Instead, you bring back what you have acquired from your adventures and the items are sold to other creatures by the shopkeeper," it said.

For now, Grezzo has not announced a release date for "Ever Oasis" just yet. But judging by the trailer and the pedigree, it seems this one will live up to the hype.
