'EVE Online' News: Free-To-Play For Some Players; Two Clone States Featured
In line with CCP Games' "EVE Online," the game is set to feature two Clone States. Also, it will be a free-to-play game.
New Eden raises technological advancements, which lead to the possibility for various and distinct Clone States, as per "EVE Online's" official website. According to the publication, the Alpha Clone State serves as the new base state for the clones and any New Eden character are able to access it anytime.
The Alpha State clones can also train and use certain skills set, such as tech one frigates, destroyers, and cruisers for the team. In addition, the Alphas have a lower skills training rate, in contrary to the Omegas. On the other hand, the Omega Clone State is accessed by utilizing neural expanders and cerebral acceleration technology. As per the publication, the State's behavior mirror's the subscribed characters'.
It is added that the player's account determines his Clone State. This means characters on unsubscribed accounts will be an Alpha State while those on either subscribed or PLEXed accounts will lead to Omega State.
Meanwhile, "EVE Online" is set to become a free-to-play game in November, as per IGN. According to the publication, it is finally taking place after 13 years as a subscription-only game. This means that the players who play the game for free have access to the Alpha Clone State, unlike those who are subscribed; they are part of the Omega Clone State.
Alpha and Omega Clone States are set to come to "EVE Online" in November.
