Erica Campbell Releases 'HELP 2.0'; Debuts New Single 'More Love'
Gospel artist and one half of Mary Mary, Erica Campbell released Help 2.0, which is the re-release of 2015's Grammy Award winning Best Gospel CD.
The top selling album has already garnered numerous other awards, including eight Stellar Awards at this year's 30th Annual music event, a Dove Award and a Soul Train Music Award win.
Campbell also premiered her music video "More Love" on VH1 Soul/VH1.com March 30th.
Help's biggest tracks were, "A Little More Jesus," and "Help," and the title song won the Urban/Inspirational Single/Performance of the Year award.
The video was created by Warryn Campbell, directed by Dale "Rage" Resteghini with executive producer, Joyce Washington and is also available online exclusively on VH1.com. View the video here.
"More Love" takes a look at love and takes it back to the 60's to present day and follows the African American community's continued struggle and civil rights pursuit. The video shows scenes from the March on Washington to the L.A. riots culminating to current day protests.
The video features several members of Erica's family, including her three kids, Krista, Zaya and Warryn, III. It is a celebration of family with a simple message; "our community and our world needs more love and it all begins at home with family."
The music video was written by Erica and husband Warryn Campbell, and was inspired by recent events in Ferguson, MO, Staten Island NY, and various other instances, says a press release.
"The sense of frustration, anger that we all feel, from the civil unrest and tragic deaths in Ferguson, New York and around the world ... We thought it was important to emphasize the importance of love. Love truly does change things. We believe that.," Erica said in the release.
"More Love" is the first single off of Campbell's upcoming album HELP 2.0, which is an updated, re-mix of her exceptional and Grammy Award winning solo project, HELP.
Campbell can also be seen on the 30th Annual Stellar Awards where she will perform "More Love" and "Help." The Awards will air on TV One on Easter Sunday, April 5th.
