'Enter The Dragon' Remake News: Director Brett Ratner Interested in Reboot of Classic Bruce Lee Film

Whether you are down or against the influx of Hollywood remakes as of late, they are indeed trending and news has caught wind of director Brett Ratner being fairly interested in remaking Bruce Lee's 'Enter the Dragon' film.

This was announced by the director at the screening of 'Rush Hour' and the news comes from AICN who states:

"According to a few attendees I've spoken to, he reassured the audience that he wasn't trying to find the next Bruce Lee or anything crazy like that. Evidently, he only brought up the remake after professing his love for Lalo Schifrin's amazing score, and seemed to indicate that his film would be a reimagining of Robert Clouse's iconic showcase for Lee's talents."

The original 'Enter the Dragon' features Bruce Lee's character in a martial arts tournament on a distant island, where he is later recruited to stop a drug lord's secret operation. However, it isn't confirmed how Ratner plans to adapt his remake.

Ratner has done a few passable action films, but nothing grand enough along the lines of 'Enter the Dragon'. It's also not the movie that fans find classic about it, it's the inclusion of legendary martial arts master Bruce Lee.

On that note, there is no certainty that the film will come to pass as the director has attempted to develop many films that never came to see the light of day.
