Enrique Iglesias Condition News: Singer Recovering After Reconstructive Hand Surgery

Despite what singer Enrique Iglesias might have portrayed during his weekend concert in Mexico for his 'Sex and Love' world tour, as he was badly injured by a drone during his performance.

Not only that, the singer was said to have had some fractures after being sliced on the hand from a drone going around taking aerial shots at the concert stage in Tijuana, Mexico where Iglesias previously performed. Iglesias' team updated the fans about his condition and announcing that he is recovering.

"Thank you to all for your concern and good wishes. Enrique is currently undergoing reconstructive hand surgery today. He will resume his tour July 3rd in Mexico City. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers," a representative of Iglesias told E! News in a statement.

Iglesias is currently recovering according to another statement posted on Instagram but also revealed that the surgery took longer than expected as there was a fracture that happened apparently.

"We wanted to give you a personal update about his condition. His recent surgery lasted longer than expected since the damage ended up being a bit worse than initially assessed. He suffered a fracture that needed to be corrected in addition to the reconstructive surgery. He will be recovering during the next few weeks, but a full recovery is anticipated. - Team Enrique," Iglesias' representatives announced via his social media.

Hopefully Iglesias indeed recovers fast to be all good for his July concert. Iglesias is obviously a strong man as he reportedly even performed after suffering the accident and even drew a heart shape on his white t-shirt using his own blood that definitely had many fans impressed and touched. Several photos were posted by the audience of Iglesias and his hand injury which he hid on his back while performing.
