'Endless Space 2' Release Date News: Game Hits Steam On Oct? 6

New details on the release date of Amplitude Studios' "Endless Space 2" have surfaced and as per reports, it is set to be next week.

The 4X strategy game is set to launch on Steam as an Early Access title on Oct. 6, Eurogamer has learned. As per the publication, the said Early Access version will cover four out of eight factions targeted for the full release and details on the exact price are yet to be revealed.

In a statement, as cited by the publication, Amplitude mentioned that they wanted to make a good first impression and wanted to deliver a version that should be as polished as what they had gotten players used to. The studio added that the game players would be able to play next week was the alpha version of the game, which would be missing some features that had were not yet implemented.

Amplitude also revealed that the game would include some mechanics they wanted to improve with the players' help. The studio reassured that the core gameplay would be present, so the players would have a good grasp of what the game was about already.

The studio also suggested that the upcoming game is set to be a product of fun and some tweaks from the recent weeks. In a statement, as cited by Steam, Amplitude said that they had known they had had a fun game in their hands, but it had still needed some adjustments which they had worked on the past few weeks.

In line with the game, "Endless Space" and Amplitude fan Chris Bratt also spoke his thoughts on the forthcoming game.

In a statement, as cited by the publication, Bratt said that unlike most 4X strategy games, which primarily relied on number breakdowns when conveying the outcome of their battles, "Endless Space 2" was promising to add some real spectacle.

Overall, "Endless Space 2" is set to arrive on Steam on Oct. 6.
