'Ender's Game' Movie Review and Synopsis
"Ender's Game", the movie that is based in the near future where a alien race attacks earth and nearly destroys our planet, has a little boy no more than ten years old completely change the course of history. If it wasn't for the legendary acts of heroism from International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham , all would have been lost on earth. The Internal Military and Colonel Hyrum Graff begin training only the best and brightest of children that could potentially lead the starfleet when they graduate. As they begin training, they come across a boy name Ender who has succeeded in literally every obstacle and course that has been given to the boys to overcome. Not only succeeded but overcame them with flying colors, so Colonel Graff decides to train Ender on his own. Ender quickly astonishes the team by mastering war games and is brought under Colonel Graff's wing to become the next great soilder.
'Ender's Game' is a powerful adventure movie that allows you first hand look into a young man's journey as he becomes the world's savior at a very young age. Rotten Tomatoes has given 'Enders Game' a 60% out of 100 stating, "If it isn't quite as thought-provoking as the book, Ender's Game still manages to offer a commendable number of well-acted, solidly written sci-fi thrills" Though Rotten Tomatoe gives it a %60 rating, fans believe that the movie stands at an %78. Even with both Rotten Tomatoe and fans critics, "Enders Game" has not gotten the best ratings overall. Anthony Lane, from the New Yorker posted that 'Enders Game' was hard to compehend and even harder to endure. Ian Buckwaiter from NPR also stated "Ender's Game is a dark story of a children's crusade built on the crushed psyches of damaged youths, and too much uplift would undermine it.
