Exciting things are about to unfold in the upcoming episode of "Empire" season 3.

Before the series takes a quick break soon, fans should watch out for a major cliffhanger in its winter finale, titled "A Furnace for Your Foe."

In episode 9, fans will get to know more about the lives of the Lyon's children, especially Lucious and Cookie.

Based on the synopsis for the episode, Cookie will host a concert to help Angelo win the elections. Meanwhile, FBI will continue to investigate Lucious.

"Cookie hosts a free park concert to help Angelo appeal to the masses and win his bid to become mayor; the FBI continues its investigation of Lucious and freezes Empire's assets," reads the synopsis.

As Cookie seeks to help her lover Angelo win the mayoral bid, she will hold a free concert to give a boost to his popularity. However, it remains to be seen if their relationship will level up or even last, especially since Lucious might get in the way and force his sister to stay away from the political aspirant.

Fans of the series know how protective Lucious is of his sister. Since he wants nothing but the best for Cookie, the siblings might have a heart-to-heart talk about Cookie's choices in episode 9. As the two of them try to fix things, the FBI will continue with its investigation of Lucious and Empire.

According to reports, the FBI will also freeze all of Empire's assets, restricting the Lyons.
