'Empire' Season 2 Promo News: New Promo Video Shows Cookie Visiting Lucious in Prison
The first promotional trailer for season two of Empire has finally come, and it is getting fans more excited than ever to see what the hit series will have to offer when it returns this fall.
Empire comes back for a second season on September 23rd, and it seems as Lucious, portrayed by Terrence Howard, has taken a huge fall from grace.
He is in prison, and in the promotional trailer, Taraji P. Henson' Cookie is paying her former husband and current love interest a visit.
When Empire returns, according to the promotional video, there will be "new music, new money, new power" for fans to look forward to.
This video sparks a lot of new questions, however, as it seems that Lucious is no longer suffering from ALS.
Also, Jamal, played by Jussie Smollett, is seen performing at a huge outdoor venue, which is packed to the brim with people.
In addition, his performance is going on in front of a large sign, which says #FREELUCIOUS, which is odd, considering that Jamal and Lucious have not always been able to see eye to eye.
Fans also get to see Anika, played by Grace Gealey, for just a moment, which assures them that Cookie has not literally destroyed her just yet.
Fans also briefly see Bryshere Gray's Hakeem, in the studio, appearing to have the consistently bitter attitude that viewers have come to expect.
Finally, Andre, played by Trai Byers, is seen walking alongside Cookie, probably going to see her father in jail.
At this point, to say that fans are ready for season two of Empire, is an understatement.
