'Empire' Season 2 News: Production Begins Despite Reduced Ratings, Taraji P. Henson Wins Best Actress In A TV Drama
Along with a slight decrease in its ratings, production for the second half of "Empire" season 2 has started, according to the latest spoilers. Also, "Empire's" Taraji P. Henson wins as Best Actress in a TV Drama in the recent Golden Globes Awards 2016.
"Empire" season 2 has experienced a slight decrease in its ratings, which left many people surprised, according to Design & Trend. As per the publication, the reduction in the "Empire's" ratings was unexpected, considering that the Fox television show made a hasty rise following its premiere in January.
With the decline in the show's ratings, "Empire" could regain its momentum by integrating better Lucious Lyon's songs, more Freda exposure, reduced mention of issue-names, more family performances, plus a Hakeen redemption arc, as per Design & Trend
"Empire" is not on its way to its last eight episodes for its season 2, as indicated by the show's writers, as per Melty. On Jan. 6, Empire Writers wrote on Twitter, "We're back! Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday! The second half of #EmpireSeason2 is in production... join us March 30th!"
The post ignited the fuel of fans' excitement. Twitter user The Voice of One! tweeted that he was ready.
Another Twitter user, Sharde Burl wrote on Twitter that she could not wait and she loved the show.
MillyC, another Twitter user and fan of the show, tweeted "Welcome back and Happy writing!!" She added that she was looking forward to Mar. 30 and the rest of the season, adding that she knew that the shows' writers would bring it.
In other news, Henson grabbed the Best Actress in a TV Drama award at the Golden Globes Awards 2016 on Jan. 10. In her speech, Henson told the crowd "Cookies for everyone tonight. My treat!," as per another report from Melty.
The actress reportedly revealed that many of her friends and fans had been lobbying for her to join her on-screen and in response, she said that the were going to have to wait for it. She concluded her speech by saying that she was taking her award for the entire "Empire."
"Empire" season 2 is set to return on Mar. 30 on Fox.
