Fans who have been in despair about Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's break up may have something to smile about.

The couple were seen enjoying lunch together earlier last week. The news that the pair were taking a break from their relationship, left their fans devastated, when it was confirmed in April.

The split was a result of physical distance between the two because of their different filming schedules.

However, the two were seen together in California last week. The co-stars of The Amazing Spider-Man were photographed eating together at a restaurant in Malibu, and E! Reports that they were looking quite happy and even holding hands.

Before this sighting there were many rumors that the two had made up. Stone, 26, was seen earlier this week greeting Garfield's parents at a screening of her new film, Aloha, in London, although Garfield was not there, according to reports from ET.

While no one can say anything for sure until the couple confirms it themselves, it looks like they are in touch more than can be expected for a couple who has truly called it quits.

Stone and Garfield began dating in 2011 after they appeared together in The Amazing Spider-Man.

They have not been seen together formally since January of this year, and this in particular spurred suspicion that the two were no longer together.

Again, the two allegedly broke up because they had difficulty being together and dealing with their different film schedules, but sources close to them maintained that the two were still on good terms.

Stone is promoting Aloha as Garfield promote his new movie Silence in Taiwan.
