‘Elementary’ Season 4 Episode 14 Spoilers: Holmes and Watson Deal With Murder Case Involving Three Gang Members?
Episode 14 of "Elementary" season 4 is throwing some spotlight on the Holmes family drama.
As the hit crime drama series returns this week, viewers will witness a huge development in the plot as the matriarch of the Holmes family gets unveiled.
The first half of season 4 introduced Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller), his father Morland Holmes (John Noble) and their overwrought relationship, but little was revealed about the grand dame of the household.
"Who is That Masked Man?" finally lets the cat out of the bag.
The synopsis for the upcoming episode says:
"When Holmes' investigation into the attempt on Morland's life pushes their strained relationship to the breaking point, the identity of Sherlock's mother is revealed."
It is now clear that in the next episode of the American crime drama, the identity of the Holmes matriarch will finally be divulged. However, it is still unknown whether the matriarch herself will make a physical appearance in the episode or not.
In an interview with Zap2it.com in 2015, the executive producer of the drama Rob Doherty said it was critical for "Elementary" to "flesh out Mama Holmes' story and explain why she is not featured on the show alongside Mr. Holmes."
He also teased that the story of the Holmes matriarch will reveal so much about the reason behind the strained relationship of Sherlock with his father.
"It's a story we need to tell," he said.
Meanwhile, Holmes and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) are looking into a murder incident involving three gang members, and an elderly woman will surface as the prime suspect.
Watch out for these developments in the next episode of "Elementary" season 4. The show airs every Thursday, 10 p.m. on CBS.
