'Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited' Release Date: ESO Day One Patch on PS4/Xbox One is 15GB

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will finally hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 9. Zenimax Online announced an official beta to be released on April 23, to kick off the prelaunch festivities. On that note, the beta will end on April 27.

This is not just a demo version that lets you play some selected parts, it is the entire game for you to explore and download.

In a blog post, the developer explained that "with the console beta just around the corner, we're sure everyone is interested to know the size of the game client in order to get your hard drives ready. ESOTU is an incredibly massive game, both in terms of sheer scope and the data required to bring you this truly enormous experience. At the moment, the client will exceed a 50GB Blu-ray disc which means there will also be a large day-one patch that is somewhere in the region of 15GB."

Unfortunately for most people, only those who have received an email notification about the beta will be able to download it as the beta is available by invite only at the moment.

Those who do not have an email notification will have to wait for the official release date to play the full game. Bethesda has warned that not only those who signed up for the game's beta will receive an invite. The criteria the developer is using to determine who receives the invite and who does not, is unclear.

Finally, you can play the console version of the Elder Scrolls Online this weekend. How about giving it a try?
