Fans were excited to learn that Nastia Liukin of 'Dancing with the Stars' fame is engaged. Liukin, announced on June 1^st, that she and her boyfriend, hockey player, Matthew Lombardi are getting married.

Liukin is probably best known for winning the gold medal in the 2008 Olympics for gymnastics. The former gymnast showed off her huge ring on her Twitter account on June 1^st, adding the caption, "So, this just happened."

The ring is quite fabulous, and the photograph featured Lombardi standing in the background with his arms outstretched, clearly ecstatic that Liukin said yes.

Lombardi's friend, and fellow hockey player, Ben Smith, confirmed that the pair were engaged, sending out his well wishes to the couple.

Although Liukin was not able to bring home the gold on Dancing with the Stars, as she and her dance partner, Derek Hough were eliminated in an episode that was shocking to fans, her next chapter in life likely makes that loss seem like nothing at all.

Fans now wonder whether there will be the lucky number for Dancing with the Stars' season of romance.

With Noah Galloway and Nastia Liukin now engaged, perhaps Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson will be the next couple to become betrothed in connection to the popular show.
