Duke (13-0) will attempt to extend their impressive undefeated winning streak to 14 games on Wednesday night, following their recent 85-62 victory versus their ACC divisional foes Boston College Eagles (last Saturday) where Blue Devils center Jahlil Okafor had 28 points, 8 rebounds and four blocks in the win.
"Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) just said something to me after the game: What happened to my free throws?" said Okafor to reporters.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski shared thoughts regarding his team's home performance at the Cameron Indoor Stadium.
"Jah (Okafor) is special in every way," said Krzyzewski to reporters.
Meanwhile, the Demon Deacon (8-7) are trying to avoid a two game losing streak when they face their divisional adversary, the Blue Devils, at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, after their recent 85-76 defeat against another ACC rival, the Louisville Cardinals (on January 4), where Wake Forest forward Devin Thomas totaled a career-high 31 points and 11 rebounds and 2 blocks in the loss.
"We could play with anybody with that effort," said Thomas to reporters.
"We've just got to be better with details, the scouting report, and we've got to learn how to finish games."
Wake Forest head coach Danny Manning revealed his thoughts about Thomas' performance against the Cardinals on Sunday.
"I thought Thomas did a very good job of posting up, getting good position and attacking the rim," said Wake coach Danny Manning to reporters.
"For a while there, those two big guys in the middle were just going back and forth with each other and it was fun to watch."
The game will start at 9:00 pm ET and it can be watched on TV on the ESPN and ESP3 network or online through live stream by clicking here.
