Duke (24-3) will attempt to extend their winning streak to eight games when they battle their ACC challenger the Hokies on Wednesday night.
The Blue Devils recently defeated another division opponent, the Clemson Tigers, by a final score of 78-56 on February 21, where Blue Devils guard Quinn Cook scored a career-high tying 27 points in the victory.
"The kid wanted to play so badly," said Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski to reporters in reference to his center Jahill Okafor not playing in the game due to an ankle injury.
"We talked to him about not feeling guilty, you're not letting anybody down."
Meanwhile, the Hokies (10-17) are hoping to avoid a possible four game losing streak when they battle their ACC opponent the Blue Devils at the Cassell Coliseum.
"There's a litany of problems they pose for us, not just Jahlil [Okafor]," said Virginia Tech head coach Buzz Williams to reporters.
"We'll have our hands full. Fuller than they've been all year long I anticipate."
Previously, Virginia Tech was defeated by another division antagonist, the NC State Wolfpack, by a final score of 69-53 (on February 21) where guard Justin Bibbs scored 19 points in the loss.
"It's too early to tell, but recently things have gone our way," said Hokies guard Ralston Turner to reporters.
"We've still got four more games to go, and we're going to have to continue to bring the same type of energy."
The game will start at 9:00 pm ET and it can be watched on TV on the ESPN2 and ESPN3 network or online through live stream by clicking here.
