Duke (9-0) will attempt to extend their impressive undefeated winning streak to 10 games on Thursday night, following their recent 75-62 victory versus the Elon Phoenix (on Monday night) where Blue Devils center Jahlil Okafor had 25 points and 20 rebounds in the win.
"This is the worst we've felt all year after a win," said Okafor to reporters.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski shared thoughts regarding his team's home performance at the Cameron Indoor Stadium.
"It's like sweeping dirt under the rug," said Krzyzewski to reporters in reference to his squad's first game after a near two week hiatus since their previous win versus the Wisconsin Badgers on December 3.
"The dirt's still there. Now he's a big rug. But you're still sweeping dirt under there."
Meanwhile, the defending 2014 NCAA Champion Huskies (4-3) are looking to extend their current winning streak to two games when they face Duke at the IZOD Center, after their recent 106-85 win against the Coppin St Eagles (on December 14) where UCONN center Amida Brimah totaled 40 points and 12 rebounds and 3 blocks in the game.
"The reason I got all those lobs is because (the guards) attacked the paint hard so my man has to help," said Brimah to reporters.
"When they helped, they just threw me the lobs."
UCONN head coach Kevin Ollie revealed his thoughts about his performance against the Eagles, which snapped the Huskies' previous three game slide.
"We just wanted to get a win," said Ollie to reporters.
"No matter how we did it, we just wanted to stop the bleeding."
The game will start at 8:00 pm ET and it can be watched on TV on the ESPN and ESP3 network or online through live stream by clicking here.
