'Driveclub VR' Release Date News: Racing Title Set For October Launch
New details on the release date and gameplay of Sony Interactive Entertainment's "Driveclub" Virtual Reality (VR) version.
"Driveclub" VR is set to be released on Oct. 13, Gematsu has learned. As per the publication, the title is set to be launched along with the PlayStation VR and it is priced at 4,900 yen for either retail or download.
In terms of gameplay, "Driveclub" director Paul Rustchynsky revealed that the title's VR version is set to have a set of new tracks. On July 29, he wrote on Twitter that there was a collection of brand new tracks. While it seems he was interested on imparting what he knew on the game's progress, he said that he was not sure he could comment on the title's development and mentioned that he would get back to the fans.
Previously, it was also rumored that game developer Other Ocean was part of the title's progress; however, on July 29, Rustchynsky also noted on NeoGAF that "Driveclub" VR's developer is the same team who made its predecessor "Driveclub." he added that the former company had not contributed, not did any other team, to its development.
Developed by Evolution Studios and Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, "Driveclub" is a 2014 racing video game for the PlayStation 4.
