'DriveClub' PS4 New Patch News March 2015: Update Notes & Changes Revealed
Evolution Studios is happy to announce that its game DriveClub is ready for the 1.12 update on the PS4. The patch notes were released on Thursday, and the update will be available on March 24.
Based on fan feedback, the update will include a lot of tweaks and improvements to maneuverability. Adjustments have been made for the drag reduction when veering off road. This will help slow down vehicles instead of them slowing down instantly. The drag penalty has also been adjusted on world collisions, making it so players cannot gain an advantage after colliding into a wall.
Several new cars, maps and trophies will be available. A free Peugeot Onyx Concept car will be automatically available if the Driver Level is at 50. The Lamborghini Expansion Pack comes with four new cars, ten new Events and five new Trophies. The Pacesetter Tour Pack will also be available as a premium/Season Pass add-on. It will come with twelve new Events, five new Trophies, and two new livery packs.
A series of Display and Audio options are going to be updated as well. As it stands, players do not have option to control screen brightness in-game and change the volume on individual SFX channels.
If players choose to mute in Multiplayer mode, the voice chat icon for any player will disappear while the player is driving. Support for live streaming Twitch and Ustream while in Multiplayer will also be available. AI opponents can now have the same car as the player and can have factory pain jobs.
Beyond that, the camera will automatically center whenever a track is reset. The patch notes also stated that the update "Improves the atmospheric visual effects further by improving heathaze and introducing mirages, which are visible on the road when light is refracted by hot air."
Fans of the game are eager for the update that come's out next week, as it should serve to improve and boost the game's popularity.
