'Dragon Quest 10' News, Trailer: Square Enix’s Title Set To Join Nintendo NX [WATCH]

Square Enix's "Dragon Quest 10" is set to join Nintendo NX's growing game title ensemble.

The title is in the works for the forthcoming Nintendo console, IGN has learned. As per the publication, the studio reportedly unveiled the information that the game was set to land on the console in 2015.

"Dragon Quest 10" producer Yosuke Saito is poised on the title's NX and PlayStation 4 server ports when it is released. In a statement, as per the publication, Saito said he thought there would be an influx of new players that peaked with the launch of the PlayStation 4 and NX editions.

The title is on its 3.3 version in Japan at the moment and in terms of its fourth version, Saito said that the latter was already running, adding that he could not say anything else. The title director added that they were doing their best for the people who were already playing the title, rather than the incoming new players.

According to Game Spot, Square Enix was the first to confirm in 2015 that "Dragon Quest 10" was set to have a PlayStation 4 and NX version, not to mention that the title was also set to bring its 11ith installment to the console. However, the studio reportedly withdrew the statement and added that the titles were under consideration for release on the upcoming game console.

Square Enix initially released "Dragon Quest" for the PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Android, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS in 2012. Watch the gameplay trailer here.
