'Dragon Ball Super' News: New Trailer Offers First Look at Reboot Anime TV Series [VIDEO]
Fans of Dragon Ball were excited when they heard that an all new Dragon Ball television series, called Dragon Ball Super, would be debuting in Japan in summer 2015.
Recently, the first trailer for the new television series has been released, which gives fans their first look at Goku. Though the trailer is in Japanese, but thanks to Anime News Network, there is a translation of the dialogue in the footage.
Goku narrates, saying, "Hey, I'm Goku. Crossing 18 years of time, it's time to enter a new series. Dragon Ball Super premieres in July! Everyone, please be sure to catch our new battles."
The show, made by Toei Animation, will be the first new Dragon Ball television series to be released in18 years.
The plot of the show will follow the recent events of the feature film, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F, and will hit Japanese television screens on July 5th, 2015.
The show will reunite the iconic characters of the franchise, and follow the effects of Goku's heated battle with Majin Buu as he continues his efforts to keep the peace on earth.
The show is overseen by the original creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama and is being produced with Fuji Television.
The series will use its deep and historic past in order to create an all new universe which will be appealing to both old time fans, and new viewers of the show alike.
Since being introduced as a manga in 1984, Dragon Ball has come to be a worldwide brand, seen in over 60 countries, and over 230 million comic books having been sold.
