Since the inter-universe martial arts tournament is over, fans expect that Goku and Monaka will finally battle it out in an epic showdown in "Dragon Ball Super." Taking it from the preview for the upcoming episode 42, it seems that this showdown isn't really far from happening.

The preview trailer for episode 42 of "Dragon Ball Super" shows Monaka and Goku sparring in midair. While the reason behind the fight remains to be seen, one thing is for sure: Goku should not take a swipe at Monaka's strength this time, as he is no longer the weak fighter he used to be. Apparently, the fight scene shows Monaka throwing Goku in the air with just a single punch.

Based on the official synopsis for the episode titled "An Uproar at the Victory Celebration! Facing Off at Last? Monaka vs. Son Goku," the unexpected battle happens while Goku and his friends are celebrating their victory against the team of the 6^th universe.

"Goku and the other Universe 7's team have safely notched their victory against Universe 6. But their victory is short-lived, as the Zen'o, the individual standing at the pinnacle of the 12 universes, appears before them. And so the tale takes an unexpected turn," reads the synopsis on Christian Daily.

In the promo video for the episode, Goku tells Monaka as he shows up in front of him, "Is that you Monaka? I thought you would not come to the party!" Then he challenged him to spar with him right away.
