Dracula TV Series 2013 Premiere SPOILERS: New NBC TV Show Trailer for "A Whiff of Sulphur" Features Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula [TRAILER] [LIVE ONLINE STREAM]

Right off the bat, critics are worried that the concept of Dracula will hinder its success just because it is in an already crowded "vampire drama" genre. The series premiere of Dracula is set to air tonight on NBC with Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the lead vampire. The trailer is well done and leaves the audience primed and ready for the premiere episode tonight and even hints at a few spoilers for the premiere.

Tim Goodman from HollywoodReporter.com is a little bit skeptical about the show from the get-go. He writes, "Part of the problem is that Dracula is all over the map. It wants to be reimagined, apparently, but doesn't do anything dramatic like come at the book from a modern perspective (which worked wonders for at least two iterations of Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock and Elementary) or wholly reinvent elements to challenge existing notions about the dark count. Instead, it's set in Victorian London in 1896 and this Dracula is masquerading as an American industrialist named Alexander Grayson. Which means that Meyers must speak with an American accent much of the time, a task he can accomplish, but a decision that seems dubious given how he's a lot more riveting speaking like a Brit."
