Stars took to social media to post in honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr; Beyoncé, The Rock, Mary Mary, Lecrae, and more honored the great minister and activist.

As people flooded their Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram feed with the hashtags King, MLK & MLKday, the premise of the day's quotes seem to be of King's statements on love.

Mary Mary turned to gratitude and love with their post, "Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. For living a life of service and sacrifice, that we may live a better tomorrow." Erica Campbell one half of the group added, "Love one another as we celebrate the life and hard work of the brilliant Martin Luther King Jr. #inspireeachother #loveeachother."

Along with a picture of one of King's quotes, Jordin Sparks posted, "#foodforthought Choose to love one another.

Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae celebrated not only King but the life of his mother as well. "Celebrating the lives of 2 people that played pivotal roles in my life and influence. "My mother and Dr. King. Thank God for y'all!" he posted.

Reality star and renown "momager" Kris Jenner took to Instagram and said, "Remembering an extraordinary humanitarian, activist and leader today. "Rest in peace Martin Luther King, Jr. #RIP #MLK #chooselove"
