'Downtown Abbey' Christmas Special 2015: Teaser Shows Grand, Nostalgic Finale [VIDEO]

Back in March, we were saddened to hear about the impending curtain fall on "Downtown Abbey."

While goodbyes are bound to happen, let's be happy that our favorite British drama series has been enchanting until the end -- and will leave us with one grand, dramatic, and unforgettable finale! (Come on, it's better than hearing that your favorite drama has been canceled over season break!)

This Christmas day, "Downtown Abbey" airs its Christmas Special 2015, which also happens to be its final episode. And the teaser has just been released.

The teaser opens with a heartfelt rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" by the cast members which is followed by glimpses of momentous and nostalgic conversations.

The Christmas themed venues were aesthetic delights. And we will surely miss the cast's glorious back-in-time fashion.

At the end of the teaser, we were invited to "spend one last Christmas at Downtown Abbey."

"Downtown Abbey" first aired in the United Kingdom in 2010 and has accomplished six seasons. The fictional town Downton Abbey is a Yorkshire country house which is the home and seat of the Earl and Countess of Grantham, along with their offsprings and relatives.

The series has weaved momentous historical events into its plot including the sinking of the RMS Titanic, the outbreak of the First World War, and the Spanish Influenza pandemic, reports IMBd.

As the show ends, most of its actors are most likely crossing over to Hollywood. "Downtown Abbey" has launched the career of many of its stars, reports Metro.

Michelle Dockery, who used to be a little-known actress, catapulted to stardom as she began portraying the fierce Lady Mary Crawley, reports Mirror.
