'Downton Abbey' Season 6 Spoilers Jan 3 Premiere: Mary Meets Henry Again?

Two characters who have met in the past are bound to meet again as 2016 starts off, in "Downton Abbey" season 6.

Mary (Michelle Dockery) is set to encounter a familiar love interest in "Downton Abbey" season 6, according to International Business Times. As per the publication, this "love interest" is Henry Talbot (Matthew Goode), whom the character encountered during the series' Christmas Special.

In her interview with TV Line, Dockery confirmed that Talbot came back to Mary's life; however, this return was complicated, as it always as, according to the actress. She added that it was never plan sailing in her love life. While these were in Dockery's mind, Talbot's return is to remind Mary that there was hope for a happy ending, as per the publication.

Aside from her reunion with Talbot, Mary is also set to engage herself with business, as romance stands as a second priority for the widow. In the same interview with TV Line, Dockery revealed that Mary was enjoying looking after the estate and making decision, much to Violet's dislike.

In line with Mary overseeing the estate, it is also revealed that she will be having a rivalry with Edith (Laura Carmichael) once again. In the same interview, Carmichael said that Edith was living in a house that Mary was now running, which did not feel great for Edith.

Carmichael further explained that Edith swanned in and out to London, going to fancy things. The actress added that they had moments of being ties with their lot and envious of the other, concluding that the rivalry sparked up again.

For Dockery, the upcoming episodes of "Downton Abbey" season 6 would present a really great arc and something that she had not been expecting. She added that there was going to be a lot of gasps and tears, but all in a classic "Downton" way.
