'Downton Abbey' Season 5 Episode Spoilers: Daisy's Uncertain Future, Edith's Somber Story

Even as fans of 'Downton Abbey' finally got the chance to catch the first episode of Season 5 on PBS last Sunday, many of them are looking to find out what's next.

So far, Edith's story is revealed to be a sobering one, as one love after another is taken away from her. By the end of the episode, Mrs. Drewe still has no idea that Marigold is not her daughter, but Edith's.

Meanwhile, the Crawleys and Daisy are struggling with a changing, modernizing world. The Dowager Countess, in particular, is not happy about the increasing familiarity between the upper and middle class. However, this is only the start of the drama.

Moving into Episode 2, of this British masterpiece, the synopsis and a tempting 30-second trailer provide some solace for anxious fans. Here are some of the highlights of BBC's summary:

Lady Rose "hits on a strategy to get a radio in the house" to appease her love of music. As a rebellious music-lover, radio is the perfect technology to hide her melodious needs. Unfortunately, the device may be too much for Lord Grantham's traditional household to handle.

Lady Rose isn't alone in uncomfortable purchases. Anna will need to buy something for Lady Mary that she wouldn't be able to buy herself. We don't know much about this mysterious object, but we can tell you that the widow wouldn't ask Anna to get it if she was still married.

Daisy is dealing with a much foggier drama of her own: her future. The young lady longs to be educated, but she has not been able to study well on her own. Sarah Bunting offers her assistance, but is there an ulterior motive for Bunting's kindness?

Season 5 of 'Downton Abbey' continues to unfold as airs every Sunday on PBS Masterpiece.
