'Downton Abbey' News: Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton to Visit Series Set at Ealing Studios
Reports are claiming that the Duchess of Cambridge will make an appearance on the set of the hit PBS show "Downton Abbey". Many believe that Kate Middleton, who is a big fan of the show, would visit Highclere Castle in Hampshire where all of the outside scenes for the show are shot, but that's not the case.
Instead Middleton will take a personal tour of the show at Ealing Studios in west London with the show's executive producer Liz Trubridge.
In a statement released from the palace, Middleton, now 33-years-old and eight months pregnant with her second child, is vising the set in honor of the show's outstanding success and award-winning productions.
The palace said Middleton will "watch one take of a scene being filmed in the servants' quarters for series 6 and a second take of the scene via a monitor in the 'Video Village' area, before proceeding to the Servants Hall to join cast members, writers and producers in an official photograph."
Some of the cast members rumored to meet with Middleton are Dame Maggie Smith (Dowager Countess of Grantham Violet), Hugh Bonneville (Earl of Grantham Robert Crawley) and Elizabeth McGovern (Countess of Grantham Cora). The cast and crew are currently filming the show's sixth season.
The public is enjoying seeing Middleton out and about, looking healthy again. During her first trimester she was reported to be ill all of the time. Her third trimester is treating her well which allows Middleton to make fun appearances such as this "Downton Abbey" visit.
Whether Middleton will make a cameo appearance on "Downton Abbey" is highly unlikely but fans of the princess and the show wouldn't mind seeing royalty on the small screen.
