'Dota 2' New Hero, Patch News: Content Update Features Winter Wyvern – Support Abilities List

'Dota 2' gamers were recently graced with the good news that the New Bloom festival is returning with its Year of the Beast. Along with the upcoming event, players will get the opportunity to play a new support type champion - Winter Wyvern.

Taking into account the official description of the new hero on the 'Dota 2' website, and by taking a quick look at the listed abilities, Winter Wyvern looks to be a support hero.

According to a report by PCGamesNreporter Nick Wilson, "She'll be played in the support role, with the ability to fly over terrain, shielding allies in ice and forcing enemies to attack their own teammates."

Stepping into the move and skill descriptions for each of Winter Wyvern's abilities, gamers will not be surprised to learn that they are ice based.

The official 'Dota 2' website went ahead and provided the four moves and their descriptions:

Arctic Burn: Soar upon an icy gust to fly over obstacles, and strike enemies from afar with attacks that remove a percentage of their health.

Splinter Blast: Shatter a block of fragile ice on an opponent that launches splinters into nearby enemies.

Cold Embrace: Encase an ally in a healing cocoon of ice that renders them immune to physical attacks.

Winter's Curse: Freeze an enemy in place and strike those around them with a curse that causes them to attack their frozen ally.

Last but not least, the developers behind the game offered a loose description of the new hero, Winter Wyvern:

"The season may be changing, but the cold still has the power to bite. Winter Wyvern has arrived, ready to let you blanket the battlefield in her icy shadow. Take wing to soar over obstacles and sap an enemy's strength from afar, or pierce gathered foes with shards of fragile ice. Or wrap your allies in a frozen cocoon to let them hibernate and heal, while you curse your opponents to turn their weapons on one of their own. With Winter Wyvern on the field, the warmth of spring may never come."
