'Dota 2' Dark Rift Latest News & Updates: Gameplay Shifts With The Rise Of Vrogros The Underlord
The latest updates for Valve's "Dota 2" Dark Rift covers a new post-game summary and the rise of another hero, Vrogros the Underlord.
The initial "Dota 2" update following the end of The International 6 gave rise to a new hero and post-game stats screen, IGN has learned. As per the publication, Vrogros the Underlord, who was announced at T16, was the final hero import from the first "Dota" game that fans can play in "Dota 2."
Underlord is described as a disabler, nuker, and support, as per the publication. The character is capable of harshly decreasing the foes' damage output and he can also teleport his team from one place to another in the map with his Dark Rift.
As per the official "Dota 2" webpage, Underlord has four abilities and they include Firestorm, Pit of Malice, Atrophy Aura, and Dark Rift. Firestorm makes the character call waves of fire that deals damage to the enemies in the target area and it can also burn them, leading to more damage over time. Pit of Mallice traps enemies and damages them; however, enemy unit can only be affected once.
Atrophy Aura weakens nearby enemy units and cuts an amount of their base damage. The skill is beneficial to Underlord, as he gets bonus damage if a unit dies under this effect. For Dark Rift, Underlord opens it at the target friendly unit position and following a brief delay, he and his allies are teleported to that unit's location. Players can cancel the move any time during the cast.
In line with the post-game summary, "Dota 2's" webpage mentions that players can access detailed reports on various angles of a player or team's performance, which aids on the game flow and pivotal points. It also displays summaries for past matches, which cover leagues and tournament play.
