'Doom' Open Beta, Details, News, Rumors: Gates Open Beta Available For PS4, Xbox One, PC

The "Doom" Open Beta will be available until the 17th, according to the announcement of in the Bethesda developer website.

"The Open Beta will feature two maps, two game modes, one playable demon, and seven weapons, along with never-before-seen armor sets, taunts and hack modules," the website said.

Anybody over 18 years old can participate in the "Doom" Open Beta, but still acceptance would be within Bethesda's discretion.

For PC users who want to participate in the "Doom" Open Beta, the recommended system specs are Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only); a steam account; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2GB) or better / AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB) or better; Intel Core i5-2400 or better / AMD FX-8320 or better; 8 GB RAM and 22GB HDD space.

However, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti as well as mobile GPUs is not available for the DOOM.

According to Gamespot, included in the "Doom" Open Beta are the Heatwave and Infernal maps, the 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath, the Revenant demon, new weapons: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun, as well as the powr weapon Gauss Cannon and new equipment: Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter and Siphon Grenade.

The preload for Steam on the "Doom" Open Beta already started April 12. You can open the Steam client and choose the "Store" button. Search for "DOOM" and choose the "DOOM Open Beta" from the selection. You can now scroll down and just push the "Play Game" button.
