'Doom' DLC Release Date News: Title Set To Feature New Multiplayer Modes And Maps
New details on Bethesda Softworks' "Doom""Unto the Evil" DLC have surfaced and according to reports, they include multiplayer modes and maps.
"Doom's" update is set to include a couple of new multiplayer modes, PC Gamer has learned. According to the publication, the first one is called Exodus, a single-flag CTF mode, and the other is called Sector, a goal-based "capture-and-hold"mode.
Along with the two modes for the multiplayer setting, "Doom" is also set to add major changes to the SnapMap editor. As per the publication, such modifications include huge enhancements when it comes to the Community HUB, editor, and logic capabilities. In addition, the SnapMap editor is set to feature the weapon wheel functionality, which can be customized by players.
"Doom's" update is also set to include Mancubus as a playable demon. In the "Doom" realm, Mancubus is known as a lumbering behemoth demon and its presence is known through a foul odor. It is revealed that the demon eat anything they can and their food just rots in the digestive system. Mancubus is decked in a light armor when it grows; however, they outgrow that armor, leading to the exposure of its face and stomach.
In other news, "Doom" is also set to add three maps - Offering, Ritual, and Cataclysm, as per Eurogamer. According to the publication, the game is also set to feature Kinetic Mine and UAC EMG Pistol, in addition to new hack modules, patterns and colors, and armor sets.
For the time being, Bethesda is set to release Free Update 2and a double XP weekend on July 29.
