'Doom' Arcade Mode Latest News: Players Going To Enjoy Game With These Features?
Players are set to enjoy Bethesda's "Doom" free arcade mode, as per reports.
According to iTech Post, the assets and programming of "Doom's" arcade mode were brilliantly structured, along with the game's new set of rules. As per the publication, the studio managed to make it "astonishing," and not limited to a standard single-player add-on that involves new foes, armors, stages, and leaders.
The arcade mode has levels, which can be played in varying stages of difficulty, not to mention that the power-ups are unlocked. To add, players can acquire points when they eliminate enemies and when they obtain items that boost the bonuses that they get. Also, consecutive knockouts on foes raises a score multiplier; however, it goes down when the player stops killing the enemies.
In terms of additional points, boosts are given to head shots and glory kills and each stage will give players medals - gold, silver, and bronze - which are dependent to the player's performance.
Along with the aforementioned, "Doom" also features a continue system. According to Eurogamer, this method is stressed by the quick pacing. As per the publication, the Arcade Mode limits players to a restricted life system, in which they start with one life, but can secure more as they go through the said level.
Overall, "Doom's" Arcade Mode also provides players a tangible goal, as per the report. For instance, they can aim for gold medals for each stage on "Hurt-Me-Plenty" difficulty or target silver medals on "Nightmare."
"Doom" is published by Bethesda Softworks, Electronic Arts, and id Software.
