Donald Trump News: Trump Interested in Running Against Kanye West in Presidential Race
It was shocking when rapper Kanye West announced that he is running for the Presidential Race at his lengthy speech while accepting the Video Vanguard Award last Sunday night. While others maybe still quite shocked and cannot believe that West really did say that he is running for President, one significant personality apparently thinks that if it is true, he hopes "to run against" him.
The person who was just recently interviewed and said that he would like to see how it would turn out if he were to run against the rapper is none other than Donald Trump himself. In a recent interview with the Rolling Stone after the shocking announcement of West, the 69-year-old Presidential hopeful also had quite an impression about it.
"He's said very nice things about me in the past... extremely positive things," Trump told the publication and even revealed that he even caught West announcing it on television. "I was actually watching, I saw him [announce his candidacy on the VMAs], and I said, 'That's very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea?'"
But the biggest comment that Trump said was that he was indeed interested in running against the future father of two. "He's actually a different kind of person than people think. He's a nice guy," Trump said of West adding, "I hope to run against him someday."
Meanwhile despite the long period ahead of them, since West revealed that he will be running for President in the coming 2020 elections, a marketing research firm reportedly calculated a hypothetical presidential race and had a result of Trump winning against West.
So as everyone awaits for it to actually happen, West has yet to comment on his recent announcement if it is indeed something to hype up his speech or if it is indeed true that he will be running for President.
