'Divinity: Original Sin 2' Development: Early Steam Access Coming Sept. 15

Along with new gameplay details on Larian Studios' "Divinity: Original Sin 2," the title is set to have an early Steam access next month.

"Divinity: Original Sin 2" is set to have the said Steam accessibility on Sept. 15, Tom's Hardware has learned. As per the publication, players who will be able to secure the Steam version next month are expected to enjoy the title's new features, such as the concept of an origin story.

Players can assume the role of one of the four sorcerers in the game, though the game developers are set to add more origin plot throughout the early access period. As the title features four players, it is assumed that each one is set to have their own unique background story, as well as origin quests.

According to Rock Paper Shotgun, the follow-up title has the same gist as the original title. As per the publication, characters can kill anyone in a world that blends crime and punishment to elemental and tactical battle system. However, the sequel sees party members who have their own knowledge and goals; thus, conflict between members is expected to be part of the game.

"Divinity: Original Sin 2" is Larian Studios' upcoming role-playing video game and sequel to the 2014 "Divinity: Original Sin." The title follows a team of four sorcerers on the quest to defeat Bishop Alexander the Innocent, who declares that all sorcerers are criminals.

The new game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows in December.
