The hit book series, 'Divergent' by author Veronica Roth has been phenomenal especially for its young adult readers. The story was even more of a hit when it was turned into a film which is now on its second installment in theaters this month. Now, reports have confirmed that there will be another novel series in the making.

It was the author herself that confirmed that there will be another exciting young adult book series that she is currently working on. She announced the big news on her Twitter which fans are now so excited about as the previous books became a hit.

It will not be a far possibility that this next series will also be a motion picture as the author has already proven that her books are movie worthy as well. Not only that, reports claim that the new upcoming book series which is looked at to be released in 2017 or 2018 will be near the theme of Divergent but darker.

The story is said to be darker and heavier than the 'Divergent' series. "Both desperate to escape their oppressive lives, they help each other attain what they most desire: for one, redemption, and the other, revenge," the producer said of the series.

In an interview with AP, Roth revealed that it was the character that she first thought of and everything else came next. "The idea started with a character. All the other elements - setting, world, even a substantial portion of the plot - came after," Roth revealed.

Although there are still no further details since the author is said to be still in her early stages of development. "That's why I'm being so vague," the hit 'Divergent' author said. Of course, producing a great book involves some big pressure especially since she already has the standard that she has to maintain.

"I think I'd have to be a robot not to occasionally worry about expectations!" Roth wrote to the AP, "But mostly I try to trust my instincts. It helps that I'm really in love with this project - that makes it a joy to work on," she added.

Meanwhile, Roth updated everyone about her new book series. "I've been really taking my time with it," she said adding, "I've written huge sections a certain way only to cut them and start again. I've stepped away for a while, to work on other things, and then come back when I have better perspective. I've been more patient with myself and with the story. I've expanded my collection of comfortable pants and snack foods. It's all working quite well so far."
