'Dishonored 2' News & Trailer: Emily Kaldwin, Corvo Attano Get Power Enhancements?
New details on the characters' abilities and upgrades in Bethesda Softworks' "Dishonored 2" have surfaced.
"Dishonored 2" creative director Harvey Smith unveiled the details on what to expect from the characters' abilities in the game. In his interview with Gamespot, Smith said hat they had known they had wanted to make protagonist Emily Kaldwin no matter what and felt nostalgic about Corvo, as reason why they had done both of them.
According to Smith, the initial plan was to throw all the abilities into one large pool; however, they also though that the powers reflected their lives or their time in the world. A case in point was Corvo's Rat Swarm as he had got his powers during the Rat Plague.
In the same interview, Smith explained that Corvo had exactly the same powers as list time; however, each power had three to five upgrades. Such enhancements included the passive powers for jump distance and agility, along with Shadow Kill, in which people turn to ash when they are killed. As per Smith, both Kaldwin and Corvo have those.
"Dishonored 2" is Bethesda's forthcoming action-adventure steal role-playing video game and sequel to "Dishonored" in 2012. Set in the fictional world of the Isles Empire and the southern European coastal city-based Karnaca, the title lets players assume the role of either Kaldwin or her bodyguard and father Corvo as they aim to grab the crown.
Bethesda's "Dishonored 2" is set to be released for the Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 11.
