'Difficult People' New Trailer News: A First Look at Amy Poehler's New Comedy Series [VIDEO]
In the new show, 'Difficult People', which will be debuting on Hulu on August 5th, comedians Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner will play fictional versions of themselves.
In a first look at the new series, we can see exactly how difficult the pair will be. The trailer is set at a funeral.
The series is being produced by Amy Poehler, so it is definitely likely to push some boundaries.
The series is eight episodes long, and is written by Klausner.
Fans will get to know Billy and Julie, who are two struggling comedians, standing in their own way, so to speak.
They hate everything and everyone, and believe that they are smarter and funnier than everyone else.
In the promotional clip, the two sit in a funeral glued to their iPhones. "I am starving," says Julie, to which Billy responds, "I know, I'm trying to order food, there's no wi fi."
The pair throw themselves a pity party as they bemoan the options that they have for lunch.
"You know what food they're gonna have this neighborhood is Turkish food and Tapas," says Billy.
After a while, Julie nearly screams out, "Why is this happening to us!"
When shushed by a fellow funeral goer, they turn around and tell her to shush herself.
Then, the preacher request a moment of silence for the deceased, during which Julie and Billy ask people sitting around them if they know of any place where they can get a falafel, or a slice of pizza.
Billy even calls out asking "Does anyone have a CLIF bar?"
