The "Diablo 4" seemed to have faded after dominating the news and rumors when it announced job postings for the game last year. With BlizzCon 2016 fast approaching, will fans finally get some word on the release date?

To be fair, however, Blizzard did not really point to BlizzCon 2016 as the platform to announce the release date for "Diablo 4."

Fans only jumped to conclusions following the tweet from the development team in response to a user asking about updates. Apparently, Blizzard said that the annual event would be even more "cool" this year.

The "Diablo 4" news and rumors went to a frenzy last year when Blizzard announced job postings for the title last year.

iTechPost said all the positions have already been filled up, including the much sought after game director post. Then it announced three new job postings also for "Diablo 4." Again, no details were given on the release date.

But GameNGuide noted that instead of the "Diablo 4," the filled positions could be for the "Diablo 3" expansion especially considering the popularity of the third generation title in the franchise. Pragmatically speaking, this would be much more likely since they don't have to reinvent the wheel and just add new features into the game.

Again, fans will just have to wait for the BlizzCon 2016 for any kind of new feedback on "Diablo 4," or if all of the rumors on the launch are true.
