It seems like Dev Patel and long-time girlfriend Freida Pinto have a chance of rekindling their romance after months of being separated. In his recent interview, actor Patel revealed that he and Pinto are still on good terms.

Fans are already going nuts about the two maybe getting back together although Patel didn't mention that he wants to get back with Pinto. In his red carpet appearance at Patel joked that he's not like all the other celebrities saying he's "not Hollywood" when asked how he's able to stay in good relations with his ex, and even gushed about Pinto saying, "She's a wonderful human."

The 'Chappie' actor also couldn't help but still admire his ex-girlfriend in his recent interview with U.K.'s Guardian. "We are incredibly close," he told the paper, "She's just a really generous, patient human being who has been one of the most impactful people on my life. A lot of my motivation has come from her, from being with her and knowing her," Patel added.

The two 'Slumdog' co-stars had been together for six years and recently split last year just before the New Year. When news broke that they have separated, so many of their fans were frustrated but are still hoping that they may find their way back together as the two indeed had a one of a kind relationship.

Pinto even previously shared that she feels like Patel is her soulmate in a previous interview with Your Tango. "I don't think anybody-not even family or friends-can understand what the two of us have been through. The paparazzi, for example, and not having privacy. He made a statement unknowingly once and he said, 'Oh, she is like my soul mate,' and we were not dating or anything back then, and it became this big hoopla. Like, 'Oh my god! How could he have said that? What does that mean?' But I guess he was right in a way; we are soul mates."
