'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' News: Series Sequel Leaked, Xbox One, PS4, PC Release Confirmed
The popular game by Square Enix, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, has been given a sequel, but apparently, that information was leaked. The new game, called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, will allegedly come out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Kanobu released imagery and information about the game, including the fact that it will star the hero Adam Jensen, who was also the hero of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Jensen will be fighting in locations across the globe, including Czech Republic. Actions from the first game will not carry over, because none of Deus Ex: Human Revolutions, four endings are considered canonical.
Screenshots of gameplay suggest that the sequel will also be a first-person action game, with a third -person cover and will also include cybernetic augmentation, which gives Jensen the ability to deflect bullets, see through smoke using x-ray vision and hack into computer systems remotely.
In addition to all of this, Jensen will be able to customize his weapons, using silencers, scopes and a host of other addons. Just like Human Revolution, Mankind Divided gives players the option to take a stealthy approach, or an extreme defense attack.
Last year, Square Enix told players that Deus Ex Universe was "an all-encompassing franchise umbrella", according to IGN. They also stated that it would not be an MMO and released some of the early concept art for the next game.
According to the site, "Mankind Divided will take place two years after Human Revolution. It focuses on humanity's fear of augmented people after the conclusion of the previous game."
While it has been confirmed that the new game will be compatible with three game systems, no release date has been set.
