The Detroit Red Wings will battle the Anaheim Ducks on February 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The Ducks (37-16-7) are looking to extend their winning streak to three games when they defend their home ice versus the Red Wings on Monday night.

Recently, the Ducks defeated the Edmonton Oilers by a final score of 2-1, where Anaheim right winger Kyle Palmieri had two assists in the victory on February 21.

"Any points right now are big," said Anaheim center Ryan Getzlaf to reporters after he scored the game winning goal against the Oilers. "Nobody is going to roll over and give you anything down the stretch. You have to earn it."

Meanwhile, the Red Wings (33-14-10) are looking to extend their winning streak to three games when they go toe-to-toe with the Ducks at the Honda Center.

"We weren't a very good hockey club in lots of ways as far as systematic and the way you play and the structure in the game," said Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk to reporters after he had two goals and two assists versus the Stars.

"We found a way to win the game. We needed the points and we found a way to get them."

Previously, the Red Wings defeated the Dallas Stars by a final score of 7-6 in overtime, where Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall scored the game winning goal in the victory on February 21.

"We didn't do many good things out there. We've got to be a lot better than that," said Kronwall to reporters. "But we got lucky."
