'Destiny: Rise of Iron' News: Bungie Brings Back The Powerful Weapon, Leaks Future Plans For Title?

"Destiny's" most prominent weapon to date is back to the game. In line with the game, Bungie also talked its plans for its hit game title.

"Destiny" executive producer Scott Taylor confirmed the come back of the game's powerful weapon Gjallarhorn at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. According to him, as cited by The Verge, it began with a text message from "Destiny" game director Chris Barrett.

Taylor recalled that Barrett asked about his thoughts if they brought Gjallarhorn back to the game. He said that he replied that people would go crazy, clarifying that it was "good crazy."

Gjallarhorn, also known as Ghorn, is a three feet long, gold-embossed rocket launcher. It stands as "Destiny's" most powerful weapon, as it is capable of outclassing every gun type in the title's vast arsenal. In addition, it can launch powerful missiles, along with cluster bombs that can wipe out the toughest foes in seconds.

Another reason Bungie views Gjallahorn as the most potent "Destiny" weapon was that Bungie retired it with unchanged stats while other weapons' stats were improved to new levels. Thus, it is assumed that the rocket launcher is one of the "Destiny's" most historical weapons and it is expected to appear in "Destiny: Rise of Iron."

In other news, "Destiny" creative director Christopher Barrett revealed Bungie's plans for its title's future. In his interview with Games Radar, Barrett said that they were focused on the release of "Destiny: Rise of Iron;" though there were lots of stories to tell and lots of things they wanted to do with the game franchise.

Barrett also mentioned that part of what they were looking at the present game state was were what players enjoyed, what was working well, and what was not. For the game director, they would constantly evolving the game.

Meanwhile, the release date for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is set to be on Sept. 20.
