'Destiny' News Roundup: Game Update Addresses Many Issues; Weekly Reset Provide Some Activities For Gamers

"Destiny's" new update has been released to fix gaming issues while the game's weekly reset for the week provides some activities to gamers.

Bungie has announced a recent "Destiny" update, which was launched on May 10, Express UK has learned. The said game update is set to resolve some gaming issues, which include gameplay, networking, and melee combat, among others. Since, the fix was already installed with the last "Destiny" update, it is revealed that players do not have to download again.

Meanwhile, "Destiny" community manager David Dague shared his thoughts on the new update. In a statement (via Express UK), Dague said that they would behave the exact same way in every activity like every weapon in a player's arsenal.

"Once we sound the alarm, get out there, and punch something. Anything. A Fellow Guardian in the Crucible. A Cabal Legionnaire in the sands of Mars. Your choice," the game community manager said.

For Dague, there was nothing special one would need to do to try out his new fists.

In other news, "Destiny's" weekly reset on May 10 refreshed several activities for gamers, according to VG247. As per the publication, specialists give bonus damage when using special weapons in Weekly Nightfall while melee kills are rewarded with score modifiers in Prison of Elders. More chests can be obtained in Sterling Treasure while Oryx is ready for a challenge in King's Fall Raid Challenge.

In line with "Destiny's" player expansion, it is revealed that Activision Blizzard's earning report for the quarter that ends on Mar. 31 allowed Bungie to spot a huge player stretch. The hit video game reportedly has about 30 million registered players, which gave a steady rise from the 25 million players recorded in Nov. 2015.

Developed by Bungie and High Moon Studios, "Destiny" was first released on Sept. 9 2014. It can be played on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
