'Destiny' Release Date News: Bungie, Activision’s 'Rise Of Iron' To Bring Back Another Iconic Weapon
Bungie and Activision's "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is set to arrive before the final quarter of 2016 and in line with this, the title is set to bring back another iconic weapon, Thorn.
Thorn is set to return to "Rise of Iron," Eurogamer has learned. As per the publication, the weapon is considered as one of "Destiny's" most popular guns, as well as the "most divisive."
Fans can recall that in Year One, Thorn was among the best weapons in the title, specifically in "Destiny's" competitive modes. It was the only one to have the Damage Over Time (DOT) system secondary to its capacity to absorb the enemy's remaining health and deal massive damage on the screen. Due to its power, Thorn's stats were nerfed, losing its might in "Destiny's" Year Two.
As per Game Informer, Thorn was only accessible in Year One through an in-game quest. According to the publication, the iconic weapon is assumed to be obtainable in the same manner in Year Three.
Reddit posts have also revealed some additions to "Destiny: Rise of Iron." Rumors suggest the title is set to have game-changing features, which include Memory of Radeghast, which sees projectiles; Memory of Perun, which includes color-coded indicators; Memory of Jolder, which removes sprint cooldown; and Memory of Silmar, which decreases damage from DOT effects.
The others include Memory of Felwinter, which provides extra boost, melee, and grenade; Memory of Gheleon, which adds detailed radar; Memory of Skorri, which hastens recharges; and Memory of Timur, which lets melee enemies fight for the player.
Bungie and Actvision's "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is set to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 20.
