'Destiny' PC Version Release Date Rumors: Game to Launch for Windows in March 2015?

Rumor has it that a PC port of the popular FPS game 'Destiny' will be releasing on the Windows platform next year in March.

For those that don't know, 'Destiny', from the creators of 'Halo' and the company that brought about 'Call of Duty', was released September 9, 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 consoles.

However, this has left one hanging question, will PC gamers get a chance to play one of the most popular 2014 games.

According to an earlier interview with the design lead, Lars Bakken, the PC version is "not that simple." "It's pretty complicated. That doesn't mean it can't happen in the future, it just means it won't happen right now," Bakken added.

The action adventure online game, rich in cinematic storytelling where gamers can unravel the mysteries of the universe and reclaim what was lost at the fall of the Golden Age is the first multiplatform game of Bungie and it's first on PlayStation in over a decade.

On a side note, Bungie's studio manages all the versions and quality assurance of 'Destiny' internally.

Pete Parsons, Bungie COO reiterated Bakken's response about the PC version and said that "it is a huge endeavor" since the studio handles everything internally themselves.

Eric Osborne, Bungie senior writer, said about the PC port, "The more platforms we take on, the more work it ultimately becomes, and what we don't want to compromise the core experience on any platform."

Beyond that, the wait is almost over for PC gamers. The first-person online game in the action genre that provides an unprecedented combination of storytelling, cooperative, competitive, and public gameplay, and personal activities is hinted at a PC release in March of 2015, according to Franchise Herald.

The NPD Group's Liam Callahan considered 'Destiny' as the "the best launch month of all-time for any new IP in video game software."

The game's estimated $500 million budget is one of the most expensive deals ever made for a publisher and a developer.

This futuristic online game is part of the 10-year deal between Activision and Bungie with the enormous investment for the franchise work. However, the rumors about a PC port release date have not been officially confirmed.
