'Destiny' News: Bungie Title’s Multiplayer Event Comes Back Next Week; Crew Talks What To Expect [TRAILER]
Bungie's "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is in full swing and in line with this, a multiplayer event is set to be back next week. Also, the game writers and editors unveiled some details about the title.
Bungie announced that the aforementioned event is set to begin on Aug. 16, Game Spot has learned. As per the publication, "Rise of Iron" players are set to receive several item boosts, such as weapons and armors. These are in addition to some content, which are dedicated for the PlayStation users.
It is further revealed that the event was set to start around noon, which is two hours from the usual time. The reason is the maintenance for the title, which begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends upon Bungie's decision. The event is set to run until Aug. 23 at around 2:00 a.m. PT or 5 a.m. ET.
In other news, "Destiny" senior writer Christine Thompson, lead writer Chris Schlerf, writer Jill Scharr, and cinematic lead Matthew Ward unveiled details about the game, such as the title's plot and character evolution. As per Game Informer, the title is set to add humor, as well as present the origins of the Iron Lords and the possible fate of pivotal game characters.
In Bungie's blog post, Crucible lead designer Lars Bakken and world design lead Steve Cotton also revealed some details on the game. In a statement, the studio mentioned that they would lay down additional content while two Fireteams engaged each other, adding that the "Bungie ViDoc" was set to showcase the whole "Rise of Iron" player experience.
