'Destiny' Free Demo Download on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360: Bungie Launches Promo

Starting November 18, 2014, console gamers can go ahead and download a free trial version of the recently released Bungie title, 'Destiny'. A blog post on the Activision website went into detail about the new free demo of the game.

Scott Lowe of Activision started off by saying the new free trial will be available for all next-gen and last-gen consoles, namely, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.

He went on to mention that gamers who download the 'Destiny' free trial will be able to avail many of the features that make the game so popular. He said, "As part of the promotion, players can create and evolve a Guardian of their own and participate in story missions, as well as co-operative and social activities."

Lowe went on to add that first time players who decide to purchase the full game after their trial expires should not worry about having to start over from scratch.

"Best of all, anyone who purchases the complete version of 'Destiny' after participating in the demo or trial will be able to pick up right from where they left off with their Guardian and progression completely intact, provided they remain within the same console family," the post read.

It's important to note that there's no cross-platform merging, meaning that players who download the Xbox 360 trial should not expect their character to be playable on the PS4 port of the game if they choose to purchase it that way.

Last but not least, there's one more catch to the new 'Destiny' free promo trial, and that's how to download the game after the demo expires.

Gamers playing on the PS4 and Xbox One will be able to the immediately download the game onto their console's hard drives right after they make the purchase on the digital store.

However, gamers who want to play 'Destiny' on their PS3 or Xbox 360's will actually have to purchase a full retain version of the game at a store, or obtain a digital copy of the game.

Scott Lowe ended the exciting post with a link to more information about the requirements to play the game and where to find those details.

He said, "To download and access the Destiny trial or demo, check out the digital storefront of your console of choice. For more information, including disk space requirements and supported consoles, check out the FAQ on Bungie.net."
