'Destiny 2' News: Bungie’s Title Set For 2017 Release?; Creative Director Talks About ‘Rise Of Iron’
New details on the release date and downloadable content (DLC) of Bungie's "Destiny 2" have surfaced and according to reports it set to hit the market next year.
Bungie's title is set to be released in September 2017, PC Advisor has learned. As per the publication, while a summer release is feasible, a September release is more likely because the title's predecessor, "Destiny," was released on Sept. 9, 2014. It is also revealed that Bungie would benefit from releasing "Destiny 2" in September, since it marks the start of the pre-Holiday rush, which suggests higher sales for the studio.
Fans are set to see "Destiny: Rise of Iron" soon and the title's creative lead Christopher Barrett has spoken his mind on the upcoming game. In his interview with Game Spot, Barrett said that the forthcoming title is set to share similarities with "Fallen," along with dynamic combat set in the new zone named Plaguelands.
According to Barrett, the title was also tied up in the theme of SIVA fighting the Fallen Devil Splicers, along with the Earth setting, which made him "super excited." As per the creative lead, the setting images had got a scale that was really cool and he could see the Guardians running along the wall. For Barrett, he thought that it felt very unique when compared to some of the raids, which had been more dark dungeons.
"Destiny 2" is assumed to come out in 2017 while "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is set to be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 20.
