"This is 2015, we're playing Indianapolis in this divisional round and that's kind of where our focus is," said Manning to reporters.
"Anything that's happened in years past - six, seven, eight years ago - I'm not sure the impact that it's had on this particular team."
The Broncos previously defeated the Oakland Raiders by a final score of 47-14 (December 28), when Denver QB Peyton Manning went 21-37 for 273 yards in the victory.
Meanwhile, the Colts are trying to stretch their winning streak to two games when they face the Broncos in the second round of the NFL Playoffs.
"It was my hope and dream that this sort of situation would occur. I feel blessed that it has," said Colts owner Jim Irsay to reporters in regards to facing Manning in the playoffs.
"I think it's going to be a great game and having these two great quarterbacks go against each other at this point in their careers is really exciting."
Previously, the Colts defeated the Cincinnati Bengals by a final score of 26-10 last Sunday, a game where QB Andrew Luck went 31-44 for 376 yards, underlined by a touchdown pass in the aforementioned win.
"It's not the quarterback versus quarterback thing. We're not on the field at the same time," said Luck to reporters in reference to facing his former Colts QB predecessor (Manning) in the upcoming matchup.
"I have a lot of respect for (Manning), what he does, what he still does is amazing. He's a stud. I'll worry about the Denver defense, that's what I worry about."
